bubly Ties New Galactic Flavors and “Star Bits” Giveaway to The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

bubly Sparkling Water is rolling out a set of limited-edition, space-themed flavors and character packs to coincide with the upcoming release of Illumination and Nintendo’s The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which arrives in theaters on April 1, 2026. The campaign is designed to bring fans into the world of the film through new flavors, color-changing cans and a series of promotions that run through the movie’s launch window.

The brand is introducing three new, limited-time flavors inspired by the movie: Meteor Melon, described as an other-worldly watermelon lime; Cosmic Swirl, a galactic mix of vanilla and berry; and Dragonfruit Stardust, an enchanted mix of pineapple dragonfruit. Each of these flavors comes in exclusive cans that feature color-changing Lumas when chilled, highlighting the iconic helpers from the Super Mario universe and aiming to bring some of the film’s visual style into the beverage aisle.

Alongside the new flavors, several best-selling core bubly varieties are getting special-edition packaging tied to the film. Fans will find Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Princess Peach, Toad and Bowser Jr. across specialty packs of Lime, Blackberry, Cherry, Grapefruit and Strawberry in stores nationwide. The character refresh is positioned as a way to extend the movie experience beyond theaters and into everyday occasions.

To support the release, bubly is launching the bubly Galactic Mission Giveaway. Hidden inside select movie-themed 8-packs of bubly are 50 bubly Galaxy Cans, the only cans that feature Rosalina. Finding one of these cans unlocks the Galaxy Getaway Grand Prize, an all-expenses paid trip for two to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Merritt, Florida. Each winning can also includes a unique code that unlocks 6,375 Star Bits, which are part of a broader digital collection component. The giveaway runs through May 8, 2026.

Select best-selling core bubly flavors are getting a Mario-themed refresh, featuring fan-favorite characters like Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, and Bowser Jr. across specialty packs Lime, Blackberry, Cherry, Grapefruit, and Strawberry, rolling out nationwide in partnership with the upcoming The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

As part of the Galactic Mission, every film-themed can of bubly includes a scannable feature that unlocks a random number of Star Bits, from 1 to 5,000. Fans can bank and redeem these Star Bits for movie tickets and exclusive limited-edition merchandise until May 8, 2026. There are also in-theater tie-ins: moviegoers have another chance to win the Galaxy Getaway Grand Prize when they see the film at select Regal and Marcus Theatres locations and enter the promotion on-site by April 16, 2026.

The collaboration connects bubly with a major animated release. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is an animated film based on the world of Super Mario Bros. and follows The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which was released in 2023 and earned more than 1.3 billion dollars worldwide. Both films are produced by Chris Meledandri of Illumination and Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo, and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is being co-financed and released globally by Universal Pictures and Nintendo. Returning filmmakers Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic direct from a screenplay by Matthew Fogel, with Brian Tyler composing the score.
