Strava and Apple Fitness+ have launched a collaborative initiative designed to enhance fitness tracking and motivation for users. The partnership introduces several new features aimed at providing a more comprehensive fitness experience.

Key Highlights of the Collaboration:

  • Enhanced Workout Tracking
Users can now track and share Fitness+ workouts directly within the Strava platform, including detailed workout information such as episode number, trainer, and music genre.

  • Trial Offer for Subscribers
Strava subscribers in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada can access a complimentary three-month trial of Apple Fitness+, providing access to over 6,500 workouts and meditation sessions.

  • Athlete Showcase
The collaboration will feature Strava community athletes in Fitness+ workouts, beginning with strength and treadmill sessions featuring athletes Hellah Sidibe and Kayla Jeter.

Zipporah Allen, Strava’s chief business officer, emphasized the significance of this partnership:

“January is a crucial time for our users as they set their intentions for the year ahead. By joining forces with Apple Fitness+, we’re providing our community with more tools and inspiration to crush their 2025 fitness goals.”

This collaboration comes at an opportune time, as Strava’s 2024 Year in Sport: Trend Report revealed that 84% of surveyed athletes prefer daily workouts lasting an hour or less. The partnership aims to cater to this preference by offering a wide range of short, effective workout options.
